Ha Bui-Bowers, Owner

I've been in the fitness industry for over 8 years covering the Oklahoma City, Edmond and Metro area. I can't think of anything else I would love to do more.  I'm certified through NSCA-CPT and CSCS and have a  Bachelors in Exercise Science from Southern Nazarene.   Fitness is what I naturally think about on a daily basis. I went into this field because I'm passionate about changing people's lives.  I give my best and 100% to every client who wants to improve on their health and fitness.  I work with a wide range of clients from die hard workout fanatics to clients who just want to look and feel better.  I love playing basketball and working out. 

As a business owner who has been open for almost 2 years and worked for over 60-70+hours/week on a consistent basis, I understand that not everyone is going to have time to workout.  We have systems in our fitness programs put into place to help maximize results in a short amount of time and keep you accountable in what you do outside of the studio.  Our philosophy is as long as you are making baby steps to progress forward within your lifestyle, then you will achieve your goals in life.  It's the matter of making a commitment to yourself to make those small changes in your life for the better.  Building a successful business does not happen overnight  just like it does not take overnight reach your health and fitness goals.  It takes the love of something to help motivate you and the commitment to follow through.  Find the love and the reasons why you want to be healthy or go the next level with your fitness and follow it through until the very end.  I have a very strong conviction in applying the same philosophy with everything I do with life.  Find something that you love to do and don't ever give up on it!

I’ve had a background in sports and training for the majority of my life.  I’m an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer. Currently I’m working on my B.S. of General Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma.  In high school I was a four sport letterman in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track.  During high school I earned All District and All Area Honors in football.  I was also a 4 year letterman in football.  My college time has been spent with 1 yr at Missouri Valley College Marshall, MO and 3 yrs at SouthEastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK.  I’ve earned Lone Star Conference Player of the Week multiple times. 

 

While at SouthEastern OK. St. Univ. I began studying the techniques of weight training.  I have trained a wide range of individuals including men, women, teenagers, mixed martial artists, and athletes. I have also coached young athletes in soccer. 

 

My training style is a high intensity based workout that keeps you moving. I’m always working on new areas of expertise and currently am targeting working on individuals Strength and Conditioning. I have a very open minded personality suitable to adapt to any individual.  The mixture of training style and attitude that I bring to the table have proven to be effective in helping individuals reach their fitness goals. I have a plan in mind for everyone.

I am originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota and recently moved to Oklahoma City in July. I have a B.S in Athletic Training and Exercise Science and a Minor in Coaching. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Central Oklahoma. I was in cross country and track all through high school. While in college I trained for different half marathons around Minnesota.

I would have to say that my favorite half marathon was Grandmas in Duluth Minnesota. I love to work out and challenge my body with different workouts and training programs. I am also a certified sports nutritionist so healthy eating is also very important to me and I am always looking for healthy new recipes to try. During my free time I love being outside biking, running, or swimming. Also enjoy spending time reading health and fitness magazines and books. Now I hope you know a little about me and what I enjoy doing.

Exercise has always been something that I have been interested in since I grew up playing sports. In high school however I started to lift weights and realized that organized exercise programs were something that I loved. The summer between my sophomore and junior year of high school I lost 30lbs and lost another 30lbs over the next three months and lost a total of 60lbs over about six months. After losing that weight I decided that helping people lose weight and meet their fitness goals was something I was very interested in.

In 2004 I began attending classes at the University of Central Oklahoma and began working toward a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise fitness management. In October of 2006 I began work with the Fitness Together Downtown OKC studio after working with several other FT studios through my school work. In August of 2007 I finished my final work for school and graduated with my degree in Kinesiology.
